The recent outreach at Remand Home, organized by Safe Place in collaboration with Naza Agape Foundation, was an overwhelming success, surpassing all expectations. We give all glory and honor to God for guiding us through this impactful assignment.
We had the privilege of learning from the staff and matron about the operations of the organization.
Remand Home serves as a juvenile correctional center for minors under 18 before they are transferred to the main prison. These youths are placed there either by court orders or by their parents, depending on the severity of their offenses.
During our visit, we encouraged the children, shared the Word of God, and engaged in meaningful counseling sessions. It was heartwarming to see the teenagers open up and interact with us.
In addition to the spiritual and emotional support, we distributed much-needed items donated by our generous partners, volunteers, and well-wishers, including:
Donated Items:
• Beverages (milk, tea, sugar)
• Noodles
• Cereals
• Bread, rice, beans, and garri
• Hygiene products (pads, tissues, soap, toothpaste)
• Snacks and drinks (biscuits, juice)
• Stationery and gift items (Bibles)
The staff and children were incredibly grateful for the time we spent and the donations received, extending their prayers and appreciation to everyone who contributed. They expressed their hope for us to return soon.
We give all thanks to God for the opportunity to make an impact and touch lives. Together, we are building a better future for these young ones.
