AFRICA CODE WEEK 2019 WORKSHOP IN NASARAWA STATE
The Africa Code Week 2019 project which we carried out in Partnership with UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) and SAP (System Applications Products) to Train girls and individuals on the basics of computer programming.
In the first school we visited
(Wisdom field Model academy), we trained 26 girls and 21 teachers. (Themale students trained were not included in the report since the program was targeted towards training the girls)
In the second school we visited
(Government Secondary School Barkin-Ado), we trained 305 girls and 30 teachers
In the third school we visited
(Government Science Secondary School New Karu), we trained 379 girls and 17 teachers
In the fourth school we visited
(Aunty Alice Schools), we trained 216 girls and 19 teachers
In the fifth school we visited
(Anglican Comprehensive Secondary School Kpeyegyi), we trained 113 girls and 15 teachers. We also trained 9 facilitators.
In all we have 1046 girls and 119 individuals. And our initial target was 1000 girls for the Train-the-girls and 125 individuals for the Train-the-trainer sessions.
